The Story of Sea Glass

This photo is of my collection of sea glass - sharp, jagged bits of bottle tumbled and tossed in the waves, rolled over and over in the sand, the corners softened, edges smoothed, colours muted. Sea glass almost seems to take on the aqua hues of the ocean itself, so that, if one is in a fanciful, flighty frame of mind, one can imagine them to be frozen mermaid's tears or fragments of a wave dashed against the rocks...
